ISP Investigating Road Rage Incident on I-465 That Ended With One Person Shot

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State Police say that just before 9 p.m. on Sunday they received information about shots being fired from one vehicle toward another on I-465.
They say the shooting happened around the 14 mile marker. Shortly after the report was received police got word that there was a gunshot victim at a gas station on 10th St.
Officers would discover that the gas station victim was related to the shooting on I-465. The victim was an 18-year-old male, he was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators currently believe that the victim was driving southbound on I-465 in a grey pick-up truck when another driver pulled alongside of the vehicle and fired several shots into the driver’s side door.
The suspect was driving a gray passenger car and fled the scene immediately after the shooting. There was a passenger in the pickup truck who was not injured during the incident.
Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area between I-465 and 10th Street around 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. on July 21st to contact them and submit dashcam footage if you have any.
