FBI Names Suspect in Trump Assassination Attempt

BUTLER, PA –The FBI has named the person who tried to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a rally on Saturday night. The man is 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
Shots were fired at Trump’s rally on Saturday evening in Butler. Former President Trump said a bullet grazed his ear. According to the U.S. Secret Service, the shooter and one spectator were killed, and two other attendees were critically injured.
At a press conference late Saturday, FBI agent Kevin Rojek said authorities have not yet identified a motive for the shooting.
In a Truth Social post on Saturday night, Trump thanked the Secret Service and law enforcement for their quick response to the shooting. He also expressed condolences to the families of those killed and injured.
