After months on the run, a mail fraud suspect whose legal name is Speedy Gonzalez has been arrested in Georgia.

Gonzalez, whose parents were legally permitted to name their child after a cartoon mouse, was taken into custody Saturday during a traffic stop in Gwinnett County.

According to the stellar reporting of Fox News, authorities began looking for Gonzalez in January after a victim reported that multiple checks were stolen from his mailbox in Suwanee.

Here’s Speedy Now:

Mail fraud suspect Speedy Gonzalez was arrested Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Gwinnett County, Ga., police said. (Gwinnett County police)

Police determined Gonzalez was the one who swiped the checks, then visited a Home Depot to buy more than $3,000 worth of merchandise, which we assume was primarily toilet paper that Gonzalez intended to resell on the black market for inflated prices.

The suspect also has outstanding warrants in another Georgia county and in Alabama on similar counts, according to Fox News.
