Fever Secure Win Over Aces with Clark Sidelined by Injury
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Fever beat the Las Vegas Aces 80-70 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis Thursday night.
Kelsey Mitchell scored 21 points, and Natasha Howard and center Aliyah Boston had double-doubles. Howard finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds, Boston had 13 points and 10 boards, and Sophie Cunningham had 15 points.
Point guard Caitlin Clark was ruled out as she continues to deal with a groin injury. She went through medical evaluations, and the team says no other injuries were discovered. While Clark is recovering, it has not been determined when she will return.
Indiana is now 13-12 while Las Vegas is 12-12.
The Fever take on the Chicago Sky on Sunday at the United Center in Chicago. Tip-off is at 3 p.m.
