Chief Chris Bailey Begs For Peace In Indianapolis

Chief Chris Bailey begs for peace in Indianapolis. Begging is never a good look, and begging is not a policy.
We have spoken. More than once about safety in in the city of Indianapolis and we have spoken about issues that I believe exists all around. We’ve spoken about Chief Bailey and we’ve asked questions About whether or not IMPD would assist ICE in deportation efforts if asked. We know the executive order, but we’ve asked this question: If asked, will IMPD help? We have not gotten an answer, and I find it hard to bring somebody onto the show when they won’t answer basic questions for us. You don’t get to avoid topics. We talk about things. We can disagree. We can talk about things. Chief Bailey. Made a video:
You have one dead and one injured after a shooting on the east side. You have two dead, an adult and a juvenile after a shooting on the East side. And I might be missing some.
With all due respect, Chief, begging is never a good look, and begging is not a policy. Begging is not a conversation had with church leaders or faith leaders or business leaders or parents. It’s not. It just isn’t. And I would love to say this is all on you, but it is absolutely not all on you. We have in Indianapolis a complete lack… certainly there’s a morality issue that has gone to hell in a handbasket. It has, but we have a lack of cohesiveness to a conversation about how we make things better and how people change their approach. So, we’re not the people to be sending this message to. Um, or I should say, a message like this doesn’t actually connect. Begging doesn’t get you anywhere. Our problems are greater. Our problems are deeper. We should address them honestly.
