Caitlin Clark to Miss Another Game with Injury, Fever Get Ready for Las Vegas

INDIANAPOLIS–Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is supposed to miss her fourth consecutive game as she deals with a left groin injury. The Fever made that announcement on Wednesday.
Clark will not play against the Las Vegas Aces Thursday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Both the Aces and the Fever have 8-8 records.
At practice on Wednesday, Fever Head Coach Stephanie White says she’s been emphasizing to the team that they need to move on from their victory 74-59 Tuesday night over the Minnesota Lynx to claim the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup.
“By the time I got on the plane, I was over it. You have to get ready for the next game. It’s the nature of compartmentalization,” said White.
White says the team needs to refocus and not have a letdown after an “exciting high.” The Lynx are 14-2 and have the best record in the WNBA. The Fever were able to beat the Lynx without Clark in the lineup because of her injury.
Fever Forward Aliyah Boston said the team’s mindset of “playing without any pressure” was a big factor in the win.
Tipoff between Indiana and Las Vegas is at 7 pm Thursday night.
