The Senate Narrowly Passes Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill”

The Senate Narrowly approved President Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill” on Monday.
The bill passed on a 51-50 vote after three Republicans defected, requiring Vice President JD Vance to break the tie, pushing the bill back to the House for final approval.
Lawmakers worked through amendments to the bill, beginning on June 30, and into the morning of July 1. Senators held a series of votes, hoping to generate enough support to pass the legislation.
The bill passed in the House back in May and must now be reconciled in the House, where an original version passed by the smallest of margins in May.
Votes in the lower chamber are tentatively planned for July 2, pending the outcome in the Senate.
