Police: Child Stabbed by Man in Fort Wayne Wearing ‘Scream’ Mask
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Police in Fort Wayne are investigating an incident where they say a man wearing a “Scream” mask stabbed an 11-year-old boy.
The child was stabbed in the abdomen Thursday afternoon in a neighborhood on the city’s southeast side. The boy was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers arrested 27-year-old Trayveon Sewell on preliminary charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, a Level 6 Felony. A witness told police they saw Sewell stab the boy while wearing the mask.
The stabbing remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
