Storm Chances Stick Around, Temps Stay Comfortable

INDIANAPOLIS — Scattered showers and storms are expected to redevelop across central Indiana this afternoon as a stalled front lingers over the Ohio Valley.
While some dry periods are expected, cloud cover will keep temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Winds will remain light, and storms are not expected to reach severe levels.
A few showers may continue into the night, but conditions will be mostly dry. Fog is possible overnight, especially in the southern part of the state.
On Friday, occasional rain and thunderstorms will continue, though much of the day will remain dry. Highs are expected to reach the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
A few stronger storms could develop in the afternoon, mainly south of Interstate 70, with the potential for damaging winds, hail, and heavy downpours.
The weekend will bring mostly dry conditions. Saturday will be partly cloudy, with a chance of showers or a storm by evening. Highs will stay in the upper 70s.
Sunday may start with a shower, but sunshine is likely to return later in the day, with temperatures near 80. Another round of rain and storms is possible Sunday night as a cold front moves in, followed by cooler and breezier weather on Monday.
