ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. — An Allen County teen is getting seven years in prison for a shooting last year that left a victim with life-threatening injuries.

Aand 347 days of credit for his time served prior to his sentencing.

Jackson was 17 at the time of shooting, which happened in May 2024 in Allen County. The Fort Wayne Police Department were initially investigating two vehicles that were seen leaving the 900 block of Colerick Street “at a high rate of speed.” Someone who called 911 said they found the victim behind a home in the 700 block of Drexel Avenue with life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.

As part of his plea deal, Jackson had a battery charge dropped and must also obtain a high school diploma or GED.
