Officer Hit During Police Chase in Mooresville

MOORESVILLE, Ind. — An officer with the Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department was injured while they tried to stop a car during a chase Saturday evening.
Around 6:45, Mooresville officers arrived in the area of State Road 67 to help out deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office who were chasing after a car going northbound from Paragon, Indiana.
An officer was using a tire deflation device, and the person drove around the right side of a police car, and that’s when they hit the officer.
The officer was taken to a hospital, and they are expected to be okay.
Deputies say they found the driver and tried to put them to a stop, but the driver ran off again.
