INDIANAPOLIS — Republican Presidential candidate and former South Carolina governor Mark Sanford will visit Indianapolis this week.

Sanford, who also spent time as a U.S. Representative, is on a week-long speaking tour called, “Kids, We’re Bankrupt and We Didn’t Even Know It.”

Sanford will bring his tour to Indy on Thursday, Oct. 17.

According to his campaign, Sanford will discuss issues including the national debt, the deficit, and government spending.

“My intention and purpose is to begin a national dialogue with voters about our nation’s disastrous financial state,” he said in a statement.

Sanford will speak at 4 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Capitol Ave. and W. South Street in downtown Indy.
