Former Indiana Teacher Accused of Orchestrating Group Sex with Boys
MARTINSVILLE, Ind.–The husband of the Indiana substitute teacher accused of arranging group sex with middle school students while they wore “Scream” masks is filing for divorce.
Brittany Fortinberry, 31, is accused of sexually abusing multiple underage boys. Police say one of the boys was a 15-year-old and he says both he and several others “had to wear a scream mask” and “they would rotate every 15 minutes” in sexual encounters that would go on for hours. Police say they have reason to believe that Fortinberry would threaten to kill herself if the boys reported anything.
Court documents also suggest her husband knew about the abuse and filed for divorce when the police investigation began.
Fortinberry faces charges including child molestation and sexual misconduct with a minor.
Fortinberry was employed as a substitute teacher for the Metropolitan School District (MSD) of Martinsville and was fired on Jan. 9, 2024. Before that, she worked at Eminence High School in Morgan County.
Fortinberry is scheduled for a jury trial June 25.
