STATEWIDE — Tornadoes have touched down in southern parts of Indiana over the weekend, but the weather is supposed to get better.
Jason Puma is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis. He says Indiana is supposed to get more spring-like weather throughout the work week though.
“We’re looking for dry weather on Monday and Tuesday with mostly sunny skies. Highs on Monday will be around 54, and Tuesday will be even warmer with a high near 69,” Puma says.
Puma says in the middle of the week there are chances for another round of rain and thunderstorms.
“There is a 70% chance of rain on Wednesday with a high temperature near 63,” Puma says.
Puma says after Wednesday, the conditions will get better from there.
“As we go through Thursday, that system will be departing. We’ll have a 30% chance of rain, mainly in the morning. Highs on Thursday are around 46. Sunny skies are likely on Friday with a high near 57,” Puma says.
