LUBBOCK, Texas — There is now one death linked to a measles outbreak in Texas.

A spokeswoman for the city of Lubbock would not give details about the age of the victim, but confirmed that it was a child.

The latest numbers from the state show that there are at least 124 current cases. The vast majority are unvaccinated.

The Department of Health and Human services says that 39 of the cases are in children under the age of four.
