Accused Child Molester Arrested Again After Violating Bond Agreement

WHITESTOWN, Ind. — A man accused of child molesting who was out on bond, now finds himself back in jail.

Court records show that John Peterson is back in custody in Boone County after he violated his bond agreement. Peterson is charged with child molestation, child porn possession, and neglect.

He was initially arrested in 2022 and he finally bonded out this past Friday. But, records show he did not keep proper contact with county corrections, so he was ordered back to jail.

He was arrested in Whitestown on Monday after police had been looking for him.

As of right now, Peterson is due in court for a jury trial to begin on March 4th. He is accused of touching and fondling a child younger than the age of 14.
