INDIANAPOLIS–Protestors gathered in Indianapolis and across the United States Wednesday to denounce President Donald Trump’s early actions and Project 2025.
In Indiana, they came to the Statehouse to voice their displeasure with the President’s agenda. It was part of the 50501 Movement, with participants criticizing Elon Musk and advocating for LGBTQ rights and climate change action. Musk, a billionaire and now the Director of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency, has been a major supporter of Trump.
Organizers and participants expressed concerns about the administration’s immigration policies and the creation of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency in the first place.
“Musk is not elected!” was the chant that could be heard throughout much of downtown Indianapolis.
Signs were created that read “Resistance is Never Futile,” “We The People Reject Project 2025,” and “This Musk Stop.”
