INDIANAPOLIS — A man accused of shooting his pregnant wife and killing her unborn child is now facing felony charges of attempted murder and feticide.
Officers believe Jeremy McBride injured the woman at a home on Pleasant Run Parkway Drive Sunday. They later learned that McBride was the woman’s estranged husband.
While she lived, her unborn child did not. She was last said to have undergone two surgeries, and she is still in the hospital.
Following the shooting, he may have told a friend that he was planning to turn himself in to the authorities. In an interview with police, he said that he had intended to kill the woman, the unborn child, and himself.
Officers say they also found notes that McBride had written to his wife, in which he mentioned “frustrations with her infidelity,” “their failed relationship,” and more.
And, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office says this is not the only domestic violence case it has seen recently. This month, it also charged Terry Ogle with the murder of his wife, and Regulus Baka for his role in the deaths of his girlfriend and her unborn child.
