INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man is admitting to beating his wife to death with a hammer.
Court documents say Terry Ogle, 79, called 911 this past Friday. He told the dispatcher “I did it”, later telling the responding police officers that the two weren’t arguing or anything, but that he was depressed and that thought his wife, Mary Ogle, 76, was having an affair.
He said he “lost it” and “bludgeoned” her to death. Court documents also say that Ogle texted his daughter and told her he was going to jail for killing her stepmother.
Responding officers also observed Ogle had cut his own wrists.
After being taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, Ogle was then booked into the Marion County Jail on a preliminary charge of murder.
