Walmart Unveils a Refreshed Logo to Reflect Evolution and Heritage
Walmart is starting 2025 with a bold new look.
For the first time in almost two decades, the retail giant has updated its logo as part of a broader brand refresh that bridges its storied history with its ambitions for the future.
Highlighting both heritage and innovation, the redesign aims to resonate with customers while reflecting Walmart’s evolution into a modern, tech-powered, omnichannel retailer.
One of the most notable changes in the logo is the introduction of a chunkier, custom font, which draws inspiration from founder Sam Walton’s classic trucker hat.

This nod to the company’s roots connects the new design to Walmart’s early days while giving it a contemporary twist.
Another key update is the color palette, now featuring a darker True Blue paired with the familiar Spark Yellow.
Together, these colors aim to keep the brand vibrant and recognizable while introducing a sleek and fresh aesthetic.
The iconic “spark” remains an integral part of the logo, symbolizing Walmart’s energy and commitment to serving its customers.
The company emphasized that this redesigned identity honors its past while showcasing its readiness to meet the needs of today’s digitally savvy shoppers.

“This update… demonstrates our evolving capabilities and longstanding commitment to serve our customers of today and tomorrow,” said William White, Walmart U.S.’s Chief Marketing Officer.
The rollout of the new logo began in late 2024 and is gradually expanding across Walmart’s 10,500 stores, website, app, and marketing materials.
