Jim Banks Sworn in as Indiana’s New U.S. Senator

WASHINGTON–Indiana’s new U.S. Senator, Jim Banks, was sworn in on Friday, replacing former Senator Mike Braun who was elected as Indiana’s next governor.
Banks, a Republican, expressed gratitude to the people of Indiana for electing him and pledged to prioritize the state’s interests in the Senate.
He outlined his priorities for the session, including focusing on combating the threat of communist China, securing the border, and strengthening national defense. Banks has been appointed to four U.S. Senate committees and is eager to work with President Trump to advance his agenda in Congress.
