“You can have a kid in the house safe, seemingly, and then you have predators that can get right in there,” DeSantis remarked.
Pornhub’s parent company, Aylo, responded to the series of bans by voicing its opposition to the requirements.
Aylo argued that such regulations risk exposing users to privacy vulnerabilities by demanding sensitive personal information.
It also warned that these laws might push users to less-regulated or non-compliant sites, circumventing the very protections these measures aim to enforce.
