MUNCIE, Ind. — An 18-year-old in Muncie could face 40 years in prison after he was found guilty Thursday of fatal drug dealing in 2023.
Jaxon Engle, who was 17 years old at the time, sold fentanyl to Kamron Lacy, who was also 17, and he later died.
Engle faces the following charges:
- Assisting the distribution of a controlled substance that led to someone’s death
- Planning or conspiring to engage in the illegal sale of a narcotic drug
Authorities say Engle got the drug from Ricky Taylor, who also faces over 40 years in prison for similar charges. They also say this is the 10th time where someone was found guilty of dealing drugs that cause death in Delaware County.
Police have not released a mugshot of the suspect yet.
