STATEWIDE–Rain will continue to fall all across Indiana through Monday night.

“Some areas have had over an inch from this weekend into today. That’s especially the case for the southern half of the state. The northern half hasn’t had quite as much,” said Randy Bowers, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

Bowers expects most places to get another quarter of an inch Monday, especially around the I-70 corridor.

“Southern Indiana is actually getting the majority of the rain with this event,” said Bowers.

Bowers believes the rain will stop for most places between the hours of 5 and 7 pm Monday. Most places are seeing highs in the 60s for Monday. Then you can expect temperatures to cool down.

“It’s not going to be a drastic cool down, but temperatures in the 40s will be the case for most of the state Tuesday and Wednesday. We may be only in the 30s for Thursday and Friday,” said Bowers.

The National Weather Service also doesn’t see any signs of snow or serious snow accumulations for at least the next week.
