Complacency Is Biggest Concern For Braun Campaign
While all eyes have been on the hugely important Presidential race, we have a just as important Governor’s race here in Indiana that is not a fait accompli. While Republicans are favored in the Hoosier State, there is no guarantee of an ultimate GOP victory here.
Senator Mike Braun joined Tony Katz and the Morning News to discuss the race to the statehouse, and how he feels things are going, and why it “feels” like the race is closer than it should be.
The other factor is, you know, we’ve had control of state government for 20 years, and the governor’s office… and complacency, I don’t think we were doing all the ground game stuff that you need to do… But we’re going to win it if, in fact, our voters aren’t complacent. If they’re complacent, then it’s going to be tighter than what it needs to be.
The Senator discussed Education, the culture war over abortion and Jennifer McCormick, and that mailer that went out against Libertarian Donald Rainwater.
