Mustard Beer… Would You Try It?
A combination so crazy… it might work?
The Texas State Fair is debuting a new type of beer this month that is going viral, Mustard Beer.
We wouldn’t expect anything less than from our Texas friends, but one of America’s favorite condiments mixed with one of America’s favorite beverages? We’re listening.
The Fletcher’s Corny Dogs partnered up with Fort Worth’s Martin House Brewing to create a mustard flavored beer to be debuted at the Texas State Fair this month. It’s described as tangy and bold (we’ll say!) It touts a 5.5% ABV. The brewing company says there is about one gallon of mustard in each batch.
Fletcher’s Corny Dogs has been a staple of the Texas State Fair as the family-owned corn dog stand has grown in popularity since opening in 1942. While they like to keep the corn dogs simple, the owners said it was only natural for the best fair pairing to become one- beer and corndogs.
In the past, Martin House Brewing has made a few other ‘innovative’ beers. The Texas brewing company has also manufactured hot dog water-flavored seltzers and pizza flavored beer made with real tomatoes. It only makes sense that their next partnership was with corn dogs!
