INDIANAPOLIS — About one month after his trips to Australia and Singapore, Hoosier Governor Eric Holcomb is planning to travel again – this time to Slovakia and Italy.

He and Adjutant General Major General Dale Lyles will head to Slovakia Tuesday, where they plan to meet with local leaders and Hoosier soldiers, and commemorate an uprising that happened during WWII.

The governor says, “I look forward to building upon our shared priorities in defense and honoring the sacred anniversary of when the Slovaks regained their freedom.”

This coming weekend, he will then head to Italy to “foster business, entrepreneurship and motorsports partnerships,” especially with Lombardy. He will also attend a race in Milan.

Holcomb has already visited Slovakia twice, and this will be his second trip to Italy.

These travels will be funded by private donations to the Indiana Economic Development Foundation and, in Slovakia specifically, the Indiana National Guard.
