INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS) has announced it will hold a “Late Night Adopt-A-Thon” on Saturday, Aug. 28.

IACS is staying open later, as part of the national Clear the Shelters campaign. By staying open later, the shelter hopes to find more animals new homes, and free up some much-needed kennel space. Along with free adoptions, each pet adopted will go home with a special goodie bag.

“We do currently have over 140 animals available for adoption,” said Roxie Randall, IACS Manager of Community Outreach. “So it’s very likely that we have an animal that would be a good fit for any home.”

According to Randall, all pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped and have the appropriate vaccines.

The “Late Night Adopt-A-Thon” will take place Saturday, Aug. 28, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the IACS Shelter. That’s at 2600 S. Harding St. in Indianapolis.
