INDIANAPOLIS — For the tenth time in just over a year, Indianapolis firefighters were called this weekend to a fire at a vacant motel.

The Indianapolis Fire Department was called at around 7 p.m. Sunday to the former site of the Best Inn Motel at 4505 S. Harding Street.

When firefighters arrived, they found a fire in the first-floor units on the back side of the motel. It took about 15 minutes to get the fire under control.

IFD says the fire was intentionally set.

The ninth and most recent fire prior to Sunday was on Saturday where a firefighter was seriously injured, according to WISH-TV.

No one was hurt in Sunday night’s fire.
