Hendricks Co. Police: Two-Year-Old Child Accidentially Shot Mother
HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. — Hendricks County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home on US Highway 36 around 9:20 this morning, after receiving a call about a woman shot.
That call was made by one of the children in the home: the mother’s five-year-old child. Police say the mother’s two-year-old boy found a semi-automatic pistol somewhere in the house and shot his mother.
She was transported to a hospital in Indianapolis where she’s currently in stable condition. Neither of her two children were hurt in the shooting.
Child Protective Services and the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
