Fredo Versus Fredo’s Brother: CNN Anchor and New York Governor Gleefully Bore Viewers to Tears
CNN anchor Fredo Cuomo and his older brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, traded a couple of ‘brotherly barbs’ during an otherwise unwatchable television interview on Monday night.
Andrew Cuomo appeared on CNN to discuss his state’s completely overblown hyper-panic to the coronavirus pandemic, noting that in an effort to cause further disruption to the economy and fuel irrational fear, he was considering the possibility of implementing a curfew to keep residents inside.
“I don’t like the word curfew. Dad tried to have a curfew for me and I never got past the resentment,” Andrew Cuomo said, going for an easy and unoriginal joke.
“That was the least of your problems, your problems with the curfew,” Chris Cuomo interjected, forcing additional unrequested insight into the Cuomo household of days gone by.
“Well, I never violated — you violated the curfew all the time,” his brother replied as he dragged the back-and-forth well-beyond the point of being funny, which was never.
“Caused much pain, but that’s a different story,” he continued, leaving the door open for viewers to interpret his comment as a vague reference to a backdoor violation.
