View co-host Joy Behar is tired of conservatives giving socialism a bad name and rushed to the horrific form of government’s defense during a discussion about the State of the Union address.
According to Behar, the right has “distorted” its true meaning, adding that Democrats actually do want President Trump to fail as payback for ruining the country.

Co-host Abby Huntsman cited the positive reaction to Trump’s address and argued that Democrats should abandon socialism because it wasn’t a winning strategy to win over independents. Well, that just about sent Joy over the edge, (Yes, she’s named “Joy!” How ironic.) and she proceeded to “correct” her “ill-informed” co-host:
“I have to say the word Socialist is becoming a buzzword like liberal and feminist where the right wing is now taking that word and distorting it,” said Joy. “So every time you use it I’m going to interrupt you.”
How adult.
WIBC host Tony Katz understands what socialism is all about:
“Socialism is wrong; it’s terrible. It doesn’t lift people up, it pushes them down. It doesn’t create fairness; it creates unfairness. And oh, by the way, it also leads to murder, death and destruction.”
