WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans passed President Donald Trump’s spending bill Tuesday, calling it a big win as they try to get it signed into law.

Only three Republicans voted no: Senators Thom Tillis of North Carolina, Rand Paul of Kentucky and Susan Collins of Maine. Not a single Democrat backed it.

Senators worked through the night to settle differences over Medicaid cuts, green energy tax credits and other pieces tied to the bill’s tax breaks. Now the bill heads back to the House.

Vice President JD Vance cast the tie-breaking vote to get it over the finish line. He had also shown up on Saturday, ready for a tight vote to kick off debate.

Trump has called it his “big, beautiful bill.”
