Fever Fall to Golden State

SAN FRANCISCO–Despite leading most of the night, the Indiana Fever lost on Thursday to the Golden State Valkyries 88-77 in California.
The Fever led by as many as 13, but the Valkyries would outscore the Fever in the fourth quarter 33-18. Indiana was hampered by 17 turnovers that led to 7 points for Golden State.
Fever guard Caitlin Clark was held to 11 points to go along with 9 assists and 7 rebounds. She had 6 turnovers. Aliyah Boston led Indiana with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
The game was the first-ever meeting between the Fever and Valkyries, with the latter joining the WNBA as an expansion team this season.
Indiana falls to 6-6 on the year while the Valkyries are 6-6 now as well.
The Indiana Fever remain on the road as part of a three-game road swing traveling to face the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday, June 22 at 3 p.m.
