FBI working to arrest violent aliens who pose threat to Hoosiers. Special Agent in Charge Timothy O’Malley joins Tony Katz to talk about how his office is working with the community to prevent another Boulder Colorado event happening here.

Tony Katz:

So, we have seen the effects of illegal immigration nationwide, and we certainly saw in Boulder Colorado the number is now 15 people who were injured by this Egyptian national in the country overstaying his visa. Trying to set Jews or Israel supporters on fire with Molotov cocktails and makeshift flamethrower. We have seen this in a multiplicity of places where the failures to protect the border have led to a tremendous amount of damage. New president, new implementation of rules already on the books. And the idea and the important lot of law enforcement working with federal officials. In order to get people who shouldn’t be in the country out of the country, the question is, how is that effort going right here in Indianapolis? Because how it goes here could be a conversation of how it’s going in other cities. Timothy O’Malley joins me right now, Special agent in charge of the FBI Indianapolis field office, Sir, I appreciate you taking the time to be with us. Executive orders from President Trump, directives from the FBI Director Kash Patel, Deputy Director Dan Bongino. How does the FBI view their role in getting illegal immigrants, people who are violating the law just by being here or engaged other violations off the streets?

Timothy O’Malley:

Director Patel has been very clear about his priorities for the FBI, as you may have heard, his priorities have been to crush violent crime and defend the defend the homeland. So, our immigration enforcement efforts, I view them as a new tool in the FBI’s toolbox to assist with the violent crime problem and also with defending the homeland. So, we’re using utilizing the immigration enforcement laws to make our community safer and more secure. And you know, if you, if you want to know if I, if I may, I’d like to just kind of talk about what, what the FBI’s immigration enforcement efforts look like here. And across the state. So, I just want to say, you know, we, we take a very methodical approach to our work. We, we follow a process. Our process is focused on is, is driven by intelligence. We prioritize the illegal immigrants that we’re going after. And really who we’re focused on is the most violent offenders and criminals.
