It’s Been 5 Years Since The George Floyd Riots. We still don’t know where Mayor Joe Hogsett was. We still don’t know why he allowed it to happen.

Tony Katz:

It has been five years since the George Floyd riots.

It’s even more important than just saying you know you’re hitting the anniversary. It’s more important to always be honest. The truth must be told at all times. And there are two things to know about George Floyd. I don’t excuse the behavior of the officer, Derrick Chauvin. I don’t excuse the knee on the neck. I don’t excuse keeping him there. All of that was nutty as far as I’m concerned. And when I say nutty, I’m not trying to be flip about it. Bad approach, bad protocol, bad everything. He was subdued. Move him. Put him into the car. Just for the look of it all. But it wasn’t the knee on the neck that killed George Floyd. George Floyd died of an overdose. Anybody who wants to be upset with that is wants to be upset with honesty. What they want is only a narrative to continue to take hold. And the answer is no: George Floyd was high, I can show you. The screenings, what was in his system? The fentanyl that was in his system. That the statement was made filed in District Court, state of Minnesota, no other contributing factors, he would conclude that it was an overdose death. Would the I believe we’re talking about the coroner here. I don’t excuse Chauvin’s behavior. I state what are the facts. The medical examiner said if he had known nothing else about the case, he would say it was an overdose. Two things can be true. That George Floyd did not die at the hands of police abuse, no matter what Black Lives Matter says. As a matter of fact, if Black Lives Matter says it. It’s probably a lie. Because this is an organization not based on honesty at all. When the leader of the organization, Patrisse Cullors, is able to purchase millions of dollar’s worth of homes, or at least purchase houses with other people’s money, when money gets put towards friends and security and everything else and doesn’t go to help people. Where’s the money to help the small business owner in Minneapolis, the black woman, the black man who had their business burned to the ground, you know, in solidarity or some garbage like that? Where was their help from Black Lives Matter, exactly? It gave license to riots that killed people in our very Indianapolis and set buildings on fire and did insane damage. To which we still don’t know where Mayor Joe Hogsett was. We still don’t know why he allowed it to happen. We don’t know why, why the National Guard wasn’t sent in, why there wasn’t some other levels of things that took place. And the only thing that I can come to is based on the total silence of Joe Hogsett. Joe Hogsett doesn’t give a damn if your city burns or not. Doesn’t care. As long as he calls up mayor and get good seats for the 500, he doesn’t give a damn. He doesn’t care if your streets are plowed, he doesn’t care if your streets are paved, and he doesn’t care if you die in those streets. What? This is who he is. This is what he does. And the only thing he seems to isn’t about is ensuring he doesn’t pay attention to the sexual impropriety that happens in his office. But that’s the story.
