Anderson Couple Sentenced for Sexually Exploiting Toddler
ANDERSON, Ind. — A woman and her boyfriend were sentenced after they pled guilty to sexually abusing a toddler.
44-year-old Jamie Powell, who also went by Jamie Cramer, faces 25 years in prison, and 42-year-old Richard Smith faces 50 years in prison. They also both face a lifetime of supervised release.
Court documents say Powell had sexual interest in a child that was being supervised by the Department of Child Services (DCS).
Powell’s boyfriend, Smith, requested that she would record sexually abusing her.
As officers were investigating, they found thousands of images, involving child sexual abuse content, on Powell’s and Smith’s phones.
Powell and Smith face several criminal charges, including conspiracy to commit sexual exploitation of a minor.
