This week Indianapolis was shaken when the acting Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced the office would no longer prosecute simple marijuana possession for quantities under an ounce. Already this policy has had an immediately beneficial effect on the city as over 130 individuals were spared from criminal proceedings. What does this mean for the political future of Ryan Mears?
