Women’s Hoops: TCU Ends Notre Dame’s Season, Advances to Elite 8
BIRMINGHAM, AL.—The TCU Horned Frogs defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday to advance to their first Elite 8 ever 71-62.
TCU shot 42% from three-point range while holding Notre Dame to 20% shooting on threes. They also made seven more free throws than Notre Dame.
Neither team led by more than 9 points.
Hailey Van Lith scored 26 for TCU to lead all scorers while Notre Dame was led by Liatu King with 17.
The season ends for the Fighting Irish with a record of 28-6.
