INDIANAPOLIS — Hot off of the heels of the successful film adaptation of the same name, the musical “WICKED” is coming back to Indianapolis.
The long-running stage production tells the story of Glinda and the Wicked Witch of the West when they were school friends in Oz.
It just celebrated its 21st anniversary on Broadway last October, and features hit songs like “Defying Gravity,” “Popular,” and “For Good.” It was based on a novel by Gregory Maguire.
You can catch the show this summer at the Old National Centre from June 18th through July 6th. Tickets will go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. here.
The film adaptation is currently nominated for Best Picture at the upcoming Academy Awards Ceremony, which will air this coming Sunday on ABC and Hulu at 7 p.m.
