INDIANAPOLIS—The #1 Oregon Ducks knocked off the #3 Penn State Nittany Lions to win the 2024 Big Ten Football Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis Saturday night 45-37.
The victory gives the Ducks a first-round bye and almost certainly the top seed in the first 12-team College Football Playoff.
Penn State outgained Oregon 518 to 466 in total yards, but their quarterback Drew Allar also threw two interceptions while Oregon never turned the ball over. Allar finished with 226 yards passing and three touchdowns along with the two picks.
Oregon quarterback Dillon Quarterback threw four touchdown passes and had 283 yards through the air.
Oregon took a 28-10 lead in the first half and Penn State cut the deficit to 7, but could get no closer than that.
Oregon is 13-0. Penn State is 11-2.
