ANDERSON, Ind. — State Police say an Anderson officer is now facing charges of child solicitation and official misconduct.
Joshua Senseney worked as a police officer and a school resource officer (SRO) in Anderson earlier this year. In June, ISP learned that he may have sent inappropriate texts to kids while working as an SRO.
Specific details about these messages were not provided, but a parent claimed they had been sent in May. Senseney was then placed on administrative leave in July.
The man was arrested Tuesday morning, after he “turned himself in to authorities without incident.” But, he posted bond shortly after being processed at the Madison County Jail, so he is no longer in custody.
Following his arrest, the Anderson Police Department released a statement, explaining that the Safety Board will determine his punishment. This “may include continuation of leave with or without pay,” or “discipline, up to and including termination of employment.”
