INDIANAPOLIS — Republican Mike Braun has beaten his Democratic opponent, Jennifer McCormick, and Libertarian Donald Rainwater to become the state’s next Governor.

Braun announced that he would be stepping away from his seat in the U.S. Senate, with the goal of being named the next Indiana Governor. He has been a longtime advocate for political term limits, though he is continuing to pursue a career in politics.

With his new role, the man hopes to address economic development, education, healthcare costs, and more. His Lieutenant Governor will be Republican Micah Beckwith.
