Indy Airport Anticipating Arrival of Taylor Swift and Her Fans

INDIANAPOLIS — If you will be flying out of state this weekend, or perhaps picking up a concertgoer, you may notice some Taylor Swift decorations, events, and more at the Indianapolis International Airport.
The airport recently announced that it has a variety of events planned for this coming weekend, when singer-songwriter Taylor Swift will be in the Circle City for the final U.S. performances of The Eras Tour.
In honor of the occasion, the airport will feature opportunities to make or trade friendship bracelets with Girl Scouts, listen to music by local female artists, and more. Continue reading for a complete schedule.
Terminal gates will also refer to Indy as “Swift City,” and a large banner featuring Swift’s name and image will read, “Welcome to Indianapolis.”
And, in anticipation of Swift’s arrival, Mayor Joe Hogsett has also declared that this weekend will be known as “Taylor Swift Weekend” in Indianapolis. He Tweeted that her presence could have an “expected nine-figure economic impact” on the city.
Event Schedule
Making or Trading Friendship Bracelets with the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana:
- Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day
Listening to Live Music by Local Female Musicians:
- Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m.
- Friday, 12:30 to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m.
