“The preliminary investigation shows that a woman was in the Raglesville area picking persimmons when her boyfriend arrived and started an argument,” said Sergeant John Davis with the State Police’s Jasper district. Police announced the arrest on Thursday.
Davis says they have identified that man as 43-year-old Jeremy Graber of Odon.
“After the argument, they both got into their respective vehicles. When she began to leave, Graber blocked her in with his vehicle and not allow her to leave. They both then exited their vehicles and a brief struggle began with the two of them,” said Davis.
Police say after that Graber sprayed both the woman and her vehicle with spray paint.
“Graber went back to his vehicle and grabbed a handgun. Then he shot near her area and struck her vehicle,” said Davis.
Davis says the woman called the police after Graber fired the gun and Graber ran away only to be found later.
“Shortly after that, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office located Graber in a wooded area near Crane and took him into custody,” said Davis.
