NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Two famous brothers and Southern rock legends are teaming up for their first-ever Christian rock album.
“Always Look Up” is the forthcoming album by Van Zant, which is made up of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Johnny Van Zant and 38 Special’s Donnie Van Zant.
Johnny Van Zant said in a statement that he always believed in Jesus, but he wasn’t saved.
He noted they were inspired by their father, saying he should have been a preacher because “when he started talking the gospel, you didn’t get up and move.”
The 11-song album is set for a November 22nd release and is available for pre-order.
