White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki cut off a reporter from the New York Post at Friday’s briefing after the journalist asked a series of questions about an ongoing federal investigation into Hunter Biden.
The reporter’s inquiries came on the heels of a The New York Times report about the continuing criminal probe the President’s son is still facing.
“The New York Times reported this week that the First Son remains under criminal investigation,” New York Post reporter Steven Nelson helpfully informed a soon-to-be puckering Psaki. “Does the president still intend to stay out of that case?”
“Yes, it’s the Department of Justice, and I would point you to them,” replied Psaki.
Ah, but stubborn Nelson refused to be a compliant little boy and abide by the Psaki’s wishes.
Nelson’s questions continued… Psaki’s frustrations continued…That’s when the Press Secretary of the least transparent administration in history was forced to rely upon her extensive “D.D.D.” training at the Biden Institute for Obstruction of Truth, opting to utilize tactic #3.

- DIVERT: Pretend to answer the reporter’s question by drawing comparisons to an unrelated scandal from a prior administration. This tactic effectively shames the reporter into silence while simultaneously fooling him into believing that you’ve provided a cohesive answer to his question.
- DISCREDIT: Dismiss the journalist’s question entirely by stating that you refuse to address “unconfirmed” reports. When possible, blame “Russian Disinformation.” This tactic helps create the impression that the reporter is merely pushing right-wing conspiracy theories.
- DECLINE: Aggressively state that you must “get to other people” due to time constraints. This allows you to refuse an answer to the journalist’s question while simultaneously implying that he is rudely reducing your time to dodge questions from other reporters in the room.
