DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. — A U.S. Marine from Indiana is recovering after being injured in Thursday’s attack at the airport in Kabul.

Kelsee Lainhart, 20, is being treated for wounds received in the attack at Karzai International Airport.

Her father, Glen Lainhart, told WLWT that her vital signs are stable and she is on her way from Germany to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland for additional treatment.

Lainhart, a 2019 graduate of East Central High School, is one of 18 U.S. servicemembers injured Thursday.

Thirteen U.S. troops were killed in the attack, including Corporal Humberto Sanchez, of Logansport. On Saturday, the Department of Defense released the names of the servicemembers who lost their lives.

The attack also claimed the lives of more than 100 Afghans.
