INDIANAPOLIS--The actions of one IMPD officer are being celebrated on TikTok.

A TikTok user named Kaleb Hall saw that officer, Jeff Stagg, picking up trash a couple of weeks ago. Stagg tells Hall in the video that he wanted to keep the memorial of a woman named Shelby clean at Lynhurst Drive and Rockville Road on the west side of Indianapolis.

The memorial is in front of a McClure Oil gas station.

“She was killed in this intersection almost 20 years ago. Two of her friends from high school constructed that memorial for her. I didn’t know her, but I remember the incident,” said Stagg to Hall in the video. “No one is keeping up the memorial anymore, so I just wanted to make sure it stays kept up. Someone needs to look after her memorial.”

Hall shows his appreciation to Stagg for his actions.

“I just wanted to tell you that I noticed you and I appreciate you,” said Hall.

Stagg thanked Hall for stopping.

Users on TikTok have since praised the officer for his kindness, generosity, and humanity.
