Last week Hamilton Southeastern Schools sent out an internal monthly observances calendar for the upcoming school year.

The leaked calendar listed numerous holidays or ‘observances’ that students may participate in through the semester. The observances range from Hispanic Heritage Month to LGBTQ History Month to International Human Rights Day and National Suicide Prevention week. As you can see the list of observances are extensive, but it did not include standard holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Since the calendar was released parents have been outwardly upset that HSE would stoop to such ‘woke’ levels.

Dr. Yvonne Stokes apologized for the DEI office’s email. Stokes made it clear she did not mean to leave anyone out…

Tony Katz says the apology missed the mark completely.

“It’s not that our children aren’t heard. That’s not it. It is a very strange view of how you think the parents responded to this. It is what it is we are deciding are monthly observances and what it is you think kids are going to participate in.”
